The Scowcroft family

The family consists of Brian and Janet and our children, Daniel and Jenny.  We are all quite clean and passably house trained! We have certainly never had any complaints about the cleanliness of our home, nor have we caused any problems for our exchange partners so far.

Brian is the Deputy Headteacher in a secondary school in Bridgwater. In addition to having slight geeky tendencies, such as building a family Intervac web site, he enjoys hill walking and scuba diving, having qualified as a Scuba Instructor in 2009.  His ideal exchange would include opportunities to walk and/or dive in a new setting .

Janet teaches French, Spanish and English; splitting her time between two Bridgwater schools. Unlike Brian, her interests are more mainstream and would include relaxing on the beach, exploring towns and cities and visiting nice restaurants ("I like doing those things too" - Brian).

Jenny will be 12 by the summer of 2010.  She attends a secondary school in Street.  Her bedroom will provide books and games for any similarly aged child. As it is decorated fairly neutrally (no bright pinks!) it can be set up for anyone of any age.

Since Dan is 19 and at university now he may get a better offer from
friends and choose not to come with us in summer 2010.  He is
studying Maths at Warwick University but is in most other respects
fairly normal. He too likes hill walking although he isn't quite so keen on
scuba diving.
